John Wreford is a freelance editorial photographer living in the heart of the Syrian capital of Damascus.

Specialising in images of the Middle East, Islamic and Arab culture his work has been widely published, more recently in The New York Times, The Financial Times, Geo Magazine and The National.

As the Arab spring blossoms across the Middle East region John will be working on projects in Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon and Turkey
